Bergenfield Library Reopens

As members of the Board of Trustees of the Bergenfield Public Library, we would like to alert the community to the re-opening of the library after a brief closure for installing new carpeting. The Children’s Room was refurbished with a colorful, new train-themed mural. There are plans to install some new activity items, and to open a side room for story hours and other participatory events. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in the Children’s Room on December 5, 2002, involving Bergenfield’s mayor, Arvin Amatorio, Bergenfield Council Person Ora Kornbluth and other town and county officials. We would like to extend a special thanks to Grand & Essex for donating a lovely cookie platter, ensuring that all children in the community were able to enjoy the refreshments at the ribbon-cutting.
