Bergenfield Residents: Call 911

The Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. (BVAC), an award-winning ambulance corps with the fastest response time average in Bergen County, has served our community for over 80 years. Answering calls for help at all hours of the day and night, BVAC volunteers treat over 2,000 residents every year with compassion and expert medical care.

When 9-1-1 is dialed, the call is answered by the Bergenfield Police Dispatch Center, which immediately dispatches BVAC and medically trained and equipped police officers. While one EMT brings the ambulance, the other EMTs and police officers, all fully equipped with medical equipment, respond directly to the scene to ensure the quickest possible response.

The Borough of Bergenfield is proud to provide the best possible emergency medical care to our community, and we urge all residents and visitors to call 9-1-1 for medical emergencies. To find out more information about BVAC, visit www.bergenfieldambulance.org.
