Beth Aaron Holds Chesed Day

(Courtesy of Congregation Beth Aaron) As part of Congregation Beth Aaron’s year-long 50th anniversary celebration, CBA held its first official shulwide chesed day on Sunday, May 1. Inspired by shul member Micah Kaufman and his mission of encouraging communities to do more chesed, CBA leadership together with the 50th anniversary celebration committee put together a list of several volunteer opportunities for its membership to choose from.

Whether it was packing food for the Bergen County Kosher Food Pantry, sorting and packing clothes for Yad Leah or writing letters and collecting supplies to send overseas to Ukrainian refugees, over 75 men, women and children took time on a Sunday morning to gather together to support Beth Aaron’s chesed initiative. Participants were then treated to a barbecue in the afternoon on the shul patio by “chef” and future CBA President Moishe (Mo-B) Singer and hosted by a few sponsoring families and the CBA Men’s Club.
