BMS Hosts Virtual Lag B’Omer Celebrations

Bruriah Middle school Lag B’Omer celebrations started at night with a bonfire—complete with an inspiring story and incredible kumzitz. The fun continued during the day with presenting a Lag B’Omer/Sefira-themed cakes, voting and then announcing the winners. Congratulations to Estie Hess for winning first place and Samantha Flint for winning second place. Thank you to all the girls who participated in the contest! The program ended with a game: Everyone had five minutes to list as many mitzvot, halachot or concepts relating to Jewish history that connect to fire. Answers were reviewed, and girls kept track of their scores. From Nadav and Avihu to the candles of Sara Imeinu, teachers were blown away by the amount of answers the girls came up with in such a short amount of time.
