(JNS) A day after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton met with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, discussing matters related to Gaza, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and other Mideast issues.

Rivlin, who welcomed Bolton as “one of the most important guests we’ve hosted here in Israel” to “Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, the eternal capital of the Jewish People,” gave his appreciation to the top Trump adviser as “a great friend of the Israeli state and the Israeli people. And we know that you’re going to do more.”

Nonetheless, the meeting between them was anything but casual.
