(TABC) The TABC JV basketball team visited the Upper East Side on Tuesday night, November 28, to face the undefeated Ramaz Rams in The Basement as the Storm looked to make it three wins in a row under rookie coach Ari Kaminetzky ‘20. This was a rematch of last year’s JV league final in which the Storm came out on top. Sophomore sensation Akiva Borgen brought his A-game immediately off the tip, carrying the Storm out to a 7-0 run alone. Borgen scored 14 of TABC’s 18 points in the first quarter and single-handedly outscored Ramaz at the half. While Ramaz was able to close the gap significantly in the second half, the Storm were able to hang on and get the crucial road win 55-51, handing Ramaz their first loss of the season. Borgen finished with a game-high 33 points and multiple boards and blocks. The team now enjoys a long Chanukah break before they resume game play in late December.
