Boys Town Jerusalem Awarded Accreditation By Midot

Boys Town Jerusalem has earned the Seal of Effectiveness, accreditation from Midot, the prominent Israeli-based NGO (non-governmental organization) evaluator. Midot cited Boys Town’s impressive commitment and performance in education, commended the school’s financial fidelity and planning.

Midot’s evaluation activities are aimed at about 4,000 NGOs, whose aggregate turnover is over $7 billion. Midot analyst Corinne Shefferman wrote, “We were impressed by the social accomplishments of Boys Town Jerusalem in the realm of educating young men, combining Torah and Jewish ethics together with science and technological studies. Moreover, we were impressed by the long-standing cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces, primarily with the Israel Air Force, aimed at enabling graduates to assume prominent assignments during their military service, as well as acquiring top positions in the private market upon their discharge from the IDF.”

The Boys Town Jerusalem Foundation of America, Inc. has consistently been accredited by the U.S.-based Better Business Bureau (BBB’s Charity Accountability Program), and is ranked a Four-Star Charity by “Charity Navigator,” America’s largest charity evaluator.

From junior high through the college level, the three-part curriculum at Boys Town–academic, technological and Torah–is designed to turn otherwise disadvantaged Israeli youth into productive citizens of tomorrow. Boys Town’s 18 acre campus is a home away from home for its more than 900 students. More than 7,000 graduates hold key positions throughout Israeli society.
