BPY’s seventh grade students Roni Dahan and Mendel Lazar have qualified as National Finalists in the Chidon HaTanach! Competing with students from more than 80 schools across the country, Roni’s and Mendel’s exceptionally high scores have enabled them to advance to the Nationals—the high scorers there will go on to the International Chidon HaTanach in Israel. Roni and Mendel follow in the wonderful and inspiring footsteps of Ayelet Poupko, one of BPY’s star alumnae, who also earned national recognition in the Chidon HaTanach. Roni and Mendel are extremely grateful for the dedication and care of their Chidon coach—our very own Rav Aviram Biton, who worked tirelessly with the students in their preparation.
