The BPY third grade students examined how plants are specially formed to get what they need in extreme environments at the New York Botanical Garden. This exploration enriched their plant studies in science and their biomes research in social studies. They enjoyed the beautiful gardens and hiked in an old growth forest—what is today’s largest uncut expanse of New York’s original wooded landscape.
