Last Monday March 26, the students applied what they recently learned with Rav Ilan Acoca, rav beit hasefer of Ben Porat Yosef about hilchot tzedaka and donated more than $500, collected at a special bake sale they did in the school, to Project Ezrah. Kimcha D’pischa project providing needy families with food for Pesach. Robert Hoenig, executive director of Project Ezrah was present and explained to the students how there are numerous families and individuals who do not have the ability to buy the food needed for Pesach. Hoenig thanked the students and told them that the money donated will enable Project Ezrah to provide the food needed for some families for Pesach.
