The Ben Porat Yosef Matan Bat Mitzvah Program for sixth grade girls and their mothers began on December 30. Last week’s session focused on Miriam and her role as a protector of her family. After learning various sources b’chevruta, the girls and their mothers wrote and performed short plays to bring those sources to life. Each mother/daughter pair also shared an influential figure from their own family and created a scrapbook page depicting some important character traits that belong to that person.
