The Poupko family generously donated a school wide BPY chesed day program that took place on Lag BaOmer for the second year in a row. This special day was dedicated in loving memory of Chana Poupko a”h. BPY students in the first through eighth grades took part in hands-on chesed activities. First grade made cards for the police officers and hand delivered them to the Paramus Police Department. The second graders visited the residents of Daughters of Miriam and sang songs with them. Third graders tended to the BPY Grammy’s Torah Garden and beautified the entrance with flowers. The fourth and fifth grades made pillows, filled activity bags and wrote notes for the children at Hackensack Meridian Health Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital. There was a Friendship Circle training for the sixth grade and a bowl-a-thon in support of Yachad for the seventh and eighth graders. It was a fun, meaningful and mitzvah-filled day. Thank you to the Poupko family for supporting this day of chesed.
