BPY Kicks Off Chanukah Celebrations

BPY had an amazing kickoff to Chanukah this past Sunday evening with the elementary school choir participating in the Englewood City Hall candle lighting. The children brought warmth and love to the first night of the holiday. In school the next day, the children and staff arrived in festive Chanukah attire and attended an all-school Hallel. The preschool children enjoyed making levivot with their family members in school while the middle school students competed in Chanukah-themed Escape Room. Eighth grade students hosted their first bake sale (Chanukah themed baked goods, of course!) with the proceeds going towards their eighth grade trip in the spring. To conclude the day, elementary and middle schools came together to hear eighth grader Shira Golani play the violin and light the famous BPY menorah. BPY students can’t wait to enjoy all of the celebrations that are to come this week, including glow in the dark dance parties and roller skating, Urban Air, sufganiyot, Chanukiyada and a sevivon competition!
