BPY’s gan balloonim is getting ready for Pesach by learning about the pyramids that the Jews help build in Mitzrayim. When the children were shown pictures of pyramids they noticed that the pyramids were triangles, just like the Oznei Haman (hamantaschen) that they baked, ate and learned about on Purim. As a fun math activity the children tried building a pyramid using a graph matching the number of unifix cubes to the squares on the page. The students went around the classroom looking for items shaped like triangles.
