BPY Students Learn Coding for Purim

Ben Porat Yosef Early Childhood students enjoyed a robotics class, utilizing their knowledge of Purim to create exciting programs using the Cubetto robot. The students worked in groups to program the robot to perform tasks. Some groups programmed the robot to get to the palace in Shushan, while others practiced their sequencing skills by using Cubetto to retell parts of the Purim story. The students also tried to imagine what the Purim story would be like if one of the characters was missing. In addition, with the help of his student programmers, Cubetto also had to find alternate paths to the palace, while avoiding Haman in the process.

Ben Porat Yosef first grade students were excited to continue honing their technology skills and coding ability by learning to use the Makers Empire Design Software and creating their own bubble wands. They had a wonderful time enjoying the fruits of their labor by playing with their creations and blowing bubbles.
