Ben Porat Yosef sixth and seventh graders left for an overnight trip to Camp Monroe on May 19. They had the opportunity to hike, fish, and participate in archery and zip-lining activities. They also worked together in boating and cheered each other on during go-carting, then performed in their own talent show. The goal of the trip was to promote community, team-building, sportsmanship, and respect for each other and nature, and to give the students educational activities in the form of science and nature workshops and shiurim in an environment that transcends the walls of the classroom. The students received an appreciation for the fact that there are opportunities to learn and be educated everywhere.
