For bridesmaids, finding a dress for a wedding can be stressful, to say the least. Luckily, Just Ask Jade is here to help. The virtual service was launched in September by Jordana Hirt, a junior marketing major at Sy Syms School of Business. Shoppers can visit her Instagram page, @Just_Ask_Jade, to choose from a gallery of more than 100 dresses for rent that are appropriate for bridal party members and don’t compromise on tzniut or modern styles.
If you have a specific dress in mind that isn’t on her page, Hirt can find a look that matches your tastes in just one day. If you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, Hirt will work with you to figure out what size, budget and style are right for you.
“One of the reasons why I started this is because my friends would always ask me for help finding bridesmaids dresses, and as time went on, I became everyone’s go-to person,” Hirt said.
She enjoys the process of finding the dress that suits shoppers’ needs, and is glad that she can take the stress away from people looking to focus on celebrating a memorable simcha.
Hirt charges a $10 looking fee for her work, and an additional $10 fee if the match is successful.
The cost for dresses that are for rent on her Instagram page depends on the renter, and Hirt charges a $10 fee to put the two parties in touch.
The service is quickly growing. Hirt’s number of Instagram followers has more than doubled since her start in September, and the winter season is bringing more shoppers to her page looking for advice and inspiration.
For more information, whether you’re looking for a dress or looking to post a dress for rent, please contact Hirt at 201-906-1512 or [email protected].
