Bris Avrohom Visits Newark’s Terminal A

(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) Last week, the Port Authority inaugurated the impressively redone Terminal A at Newark International Airport. Bris Avrohom rabbis, who host the Jewish stand at the airport, were invited to participate at the milestone ceremony. For Bris Avrohom, the highlight of the event was putting tefillin for the first time on two individuals in the newly minted airline terminal.

The guest speakers at the ceremony were the governor and the first lady.

At the conclusion of the event, Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky and Rabbi Avremy Kanelsky greeted the governor and his wife, congratulating them on this momentous occasion. In addition, Lawrence Huntley, COO of the Port Authority, who celebrated his birthday at the event, was also congratulated by Bris Avrohom, and thanked for giving them the opportunity to maintain the successful Jewish stand at the airport.

Bris Avrohom’s Jewish stand at the airport gives travelers the zechus of donning tefillin before or after their flights. In addition, tefilas haderech cards are distributed, which are translated in numerous languages to accommodate the diversity of people who stop at the stand.
