As part of their eighth grade leadership training program, Bruriah hosted a Chanukah themed event for JEC Lower School first graders. Modeled after the popular television game show series Minute To Win It, Bruriah students led their first grade teams in a series of timed Chanukah themed projects that included word games, crafts and even mathematical riddles, with tickets rewarded for entries completed within the sixty second allotment for each segment.

“I loved the experience of being a big sister,” said eighth grader Gabriella Roth of Elizabeth, NJ, who is the youngest in her family.

The first graders felt similarly and appreciated the help provided by the older girls. “I learned how to do it all by myself,” said Rafi Wolk of Hillside, NJ. “Sarah (Rosenwald of Elizabeth, NJ) was really nice and she showed me how,” he said appreciatively.
