Bruriah Has Amazing Week of Chanukah

Bruriah was a gleeful place during the week of Chanukah. From the school-wide Minute-to-Win-It game that launched the week of festivities to Security and Custodian Appreciation Day that wrapped it up, the days in between were just as jam packed with activities. Bruriah’s annual privilege sale raised more than $10,000 for tzedakot in Israel. Students bid on privileges, such as ice-cream parties and prime parking spots, offered by the faculty. The students danced happily after each sale. Tzniut Redefined was the focus of the yom iyun. Students and faculty shared their experiences and Aliza Feder presented valuable ideas about tzniut. The program ended with a kumzitz and lunch at a make-your-own-chicken sandwich bar. Shimi Adar rocked the house and got the students on their feet! She shared some thoughts and reminded us to always be a person who makes others smile! One could hear “Bruriah, Bruriah, Bruriah” being chanted through the building. The halls of Bruriah were filled with light and joy during the festival of lights.
