Bruriah students and their fathers spent an evening together learning about hachnasat orchim. The program was designed so Bruriah students could learn with their fathers at school and connect with each other; it was also a way for fathers to connect with the school. Rabbi Sariel Malitzky of the JEC and the assistant rabbi of congregation Ohr Torah in Edison, guided the program, Hachnasat Orchim: Rolling Out the Red Carpet. Students and their fathers learned b’chevruta with a source book prepared by Rabbi Malitzky. The interactive portion of the evening included audience participation with students and their fathers sharing thoughts. Rabbi Joseph Oratz, principal of Bruriah, remarked that the “kol Torah” heard in the room was inspiring. Bruriah parents, Mr. Russell and Nitza Adler, sponsored the evening.
