The Bruriah High School and Middle School came together on Yom HaShoah to remember the kedoshim who perished in the Holocaust. The program began with the reading of the names of a few of the many Jews who died Al Kiddush Hashem. After inspiring opening words by teacher Dassie Okin, a representative from each grade shared their family’s stories of survival during and after the Holocaust. The entire program gave new meaning to the day, reinforcing the idea that the Jewish nation will always persevere through adversity.
