Bruriah Lightning’s Undefeated Varsity B Volleyball Heads to Champs

(Bruriah Sports) After an unbelievable 10-0 season, Bruriah Lightning’s varsity B volleyball team is headed to the championships. Their perfect season was cemented on Sunday when they defeated SKA in the final regular season game. Team captains Daphna Hook and Shira Pfeiffer reflected on the past season in awe. At the start of the season they could not have anticipated this level of success, especially since only three of the players had played on the team in previous years—the other nine were rookies. They also recounted a particularly challenging game against Naaleh, in which both teams were down to eight teammates due to players being out with COVID. “The entire team really stepped up this season,” Pfeiffer said. They look forward to the championship game which will take place at the end of February.

Congratulations to all volleyball varsity B Lightning players: Rachelli Gewritzman, Yardena Goldman, Aliza Hook, Daphna Hook, Shira Kaplitt, Atalia Levy, Daniella Levy, Rosa Miodownik, Miriam Over, Shira Pfeiffer, Emunah Rottenstreich and Aviva Strauss. Thank you to their fantastic volleyball coach, Miriam Brickman.
