Chabad Center of Northwest NJ to Celebrate 32nd Anniversary Gala

(Courtesy of Chabad Center of Northwest NJ) The Chabad Center of Northwest NJ will celebrate its 32nd Anniversary at its Founders Dinner on Monday, December 2, at the luxurious Crystal Plaza in Livingston. A lavish buffet will begin at 6 p.m. and a celebratory dinner and program will follow at 7 p.m. Margie Heller (Saint Barnabas Medical Center), Woman of the Year; Larry Schwartz (Weiner Law Group), Man of the Year; and Barbara Laurenzi, Community Service Award, will serve as distinguished guests of honor. Prestigious entertainment will also highlight the milestone event.

“In Hebrew, 32 is the numerical value of the word ‘heart.’ Thirty-two years ago, a small nucleus of pioneers with huge hearts engineered our community activities around a living room table. Over time, with God’s help, we have grown into a multi-faceted foundation with seven community centers. The successes we have been blessed with are a direct result of the selfless efforts of outstanding individuals who have made the growth of our educational and charitable activities an absolute priority in their lives. ‘32 Years of Touching Hearts’ is our dinner theme. We anticipate that the wonderful energy and message of our 32nd year will greatly enhance our festive gathering on December 2,” commented Rabbi Asher Herson, regional director of the Chabad Center.

The Chabad Center of Northwest NJ serves the greater region with state of the art facilities and a broad array of programs including a Jewish community center, early learning center, adult education institute, youth center, mikvah and an energetic synagogue (which hosts services every morning and evening 365 days a year—the only institution offering three daily services in all of Morris, Sussex and Warren Counties). In addition, six additional community centers have been established under the Chabad Center’s auspices in various sections of Northwest New Jersey to better serve local constituencies. The Chabad Center also provides chaplaincy services and conducts various programs in conjunction with local hospitals, police departments, school districts and municipalities.
