Preschoolers at Lubavitch on the Palisades baked challah from scratch, after learning about one of the special miracles of Sarah’s tent was that her challah stayed fresh from Shabbat to Shabbat. Students engaged in a literacy activity when they read the recipe chart and used their math skills to measure and add the ingredients. Students also observed how yeast helps the challah rise and created their unique challah shapes to bring home for Shabbat Parshat Chayei Sarah.
