Nursery students at Lubavitch on the Palisades love taking care of their school pet, a rabbit named Albert. They learned that rabbits burrow and make tunnels underground. Children made tunnels using paper towel rolls. Students worked together to form the tunnel, hold it together and send the marble “rabbit” through it. The children also enjoyed playing in cardboard box tunnels in the classroom. They pretended to come out to collect fruits and vegetables and bring them back underground to their home.
