Chabad of Yonkers Plans Chanukah Events

(Courtesy of Chabad of Yonkers) On Sunday, December 3, from 2-4 p.m. there will be a dreidel game workshop at the Home Depot, 601 South Sprain Rd, Yonkers. Everyone will get to make their own dreidel game to take home and play with during the holiday.

On Thursday, December 7, at 4:30 p.m., there will be a menorah lighting at Ridge Hill, 1 Ridge Hill Blvd. in Yonkers (near LegoLand). There will be live music with DJ David Ross, a gelt drop, crafts, doughnuts and latkes!

On Sunday, December 10, there will be multiple events in the community:

At Chabad of Yonkers, 600 N. Broadway, from 2-4 p.m., there will be a Grand Chanukah Party, including a hot buffet lunch, latkes, music, chocolate gelt, dreidels, kids crafts and more. It will be fun for the whole family!

This will be followed by a giant menorah lighting in Untermyer Park, 945 N. Broadway in Yonkers, at 4:15 p.m. Doughnuts and chocolate gelt will be available.

On Monday, December 11 at 6 p.m., there will be a menorah lighting at Cross County Center,

8000 Mile Walk, Yonkers. Enjoy live music, doughnuts, latkes, dreidels and chocolate gelt!

On Tuesday, December 12 there will again be multiple events:

A menorah lighting will take place at Boyce Thompson Center, 1086 N. Broadway, Yonkers, at 4:30 p.m., followed by a menorah car parade! Menorahs will be mounted on each car. With a police escort the cars will drive throughout Yonkers, spreading the light and joy of Chanukah. The parade will end at Nahmias et Fils Distillery with refreshments.

Please call the rabbi to reserve a menorah for your car as there are a limited number of menorahs available and they will be given on a first come, first serve basis.

Finally, on Wednesday, December 13, join Chabad of Yonkers for a menorah lighting at the mayor’s office, 40 S Broadway # 200, Yonkers, at 4:30 p.m. Join Mayor Mike Spano as he celebrates Chanukah at City Hall with a special menorah lighting and Chanukah treats!
