CHEMED Health Center Annual Presidents’ Weekend Conference

(Courtesy of CHEMED Health Center) After careful deliberation and consultation with experts, CHEMED Health Center is thrilled to announce that our annual Presidents’ weekend conference will be held in-person this year. As an established health care facility, CHEMED understands that it is the hardworking doctors in our community and around the world who are pulling us through one of the most difficult times in medical history. CHEMED is delighted to have taken up the challenge to ensure that our event will satisfy your concern for safety.

Attendees will be revitalized and refreshed by the unparalleled lineup of knowledgeable rabbanim, doctors and professionals presenting at the conference. HaGaon HaRav Asher Weiss, Rabbi Dr. Avraham Steinberg and Rabbi Dr. Akiva Tatz will inspire guests in various topics of medical halacha and ethics. Joining them will be Rabbi Dr. Aaron Glatt and Rabbi Dr. Edward Reichman, well known for their medical and halachic expertise. Speakers will address an array of fascinating topics including diabetes, mental health, COVID and pediatric hematology/oncology.

On the medical side, Dr. Irl B. Hirsch and Dr. Desmond Schatz will be speaking on diabetes-related topics. Dr. Tirtza Strauss has an intriguing presentation on gestational diabetes. Debbie Fox, LCSW, and Rabbi Dr. Dovid Fox are slated to present on mental health. Dr. Naor Ben Zeev has fascinating findings to share on COVID and the COVID vaccine, while Dr. Carolyn Fein Levy will lecture on pediatric hematology/oncology.

In addition to the knowledge gained, the networking opportunity is one not to be missed. Participants will be eligible to earn up to 17 CME credits, and by extension have the opportunity to use employer CME funds. Children will be highly entertained too, with a fantastic and professional children’s program, complete with sought-after entertainers. The Shabbat program also boasts a shadchan who will devote time during and after the conference to the single participants and single children of participants in their search for the “right one.”

CHEMED’s previous conferences hosted doctors and medical professionals spanning a wide range of specialties. Doctors and medical professionals looking for a weekend getaway geared just for them and their families may register right away. Limited slots are available.
