CMEK’s fifth grade girls finished a great run with a runner-up finish in the Bergen Travel League. The team consists of many Moriah girls: Eliana Bane, Rachel Abramovitz, Georgia Danishefsy, Naomi Bentolilia, Lily Waldman, and Ellie Rice. All contributed to the overall success of the team. Bane was amongst the top point guards in the league. Danishefsky and Rice were potent outside shooters. Bentolilia and Waldman were ferocious rebounders. Abramovitz was amongst the team leaders in all categories. Aliza Yager from YNJ was a big-time scorer and Zoe Teicher from SSDS had many assists. Sia Chandras and Sarena Parikh were major defensive stoppers. The team is coached by Corey Goldman.
