At Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva, good communication is learned! RPRY’s Guidance Counselor Ilana Bohm held a workshop for the eighth grade girls honing this specific skill. The students were paired off, each spending five minutes drawing a detailed picture without her partner seeing it. No peeking! When the five minutes were up, they took turns describing their pictures while their partner tried to draw an exact copy. The students realized that a lot of communication doesn’t always mean clear communication! Bohm met with the groups to discuss how they did and ways to improve their communication for round two. Implementing the new communication tools, the girls then tried again—with successful results!
