Pre Pesach Car Wash 10:30AM – 3:30PM in the parking lot at the Jewish Center of Teaneck, at the corner of Cedar Lane and Prince Street.

Shomer Shabbat Boy Scout Troop 226 car wash includes a hand wash exterior and a full interior vacuum. The cost is $20 per car and $35 per SUV or van.

Born to Holocaust survivors on an Israeli kibbutz, Yaron Svoray became a paratrooper in the IDF, a detective inthe Tel Aviv central police force, and a spy. Yaron spent nearly a year undercover, inside the German Neo Nazi movement, gathering evidence of thei r terrorist activities. His information led to the arrests of the movement’s leaders, and his exploits became an HBO movie, starring Oliver Platt, entitled “The Infiltrator.”

The Joy & Al Amsel Memorial Annual Community Biur Chametz Event and Fire Prevention Educational & Recreational Program. Fire Safety Trailer for Exciting Learning Experiences – Free Fire Safety Souvenirs – In Partnership with the Teaneck Fire Department, Jewish Community Council, RCBC, Streit’s, Heichal HaTorah, Ohr Saadya, Rinat Yisrael and Young Israel of Teaneck. This year’s event is expected to draw more than one thousand adults and children from Teaneck and the surrounding communities. Please note that Chametz for burning should be placed in paper bags, only. Please do not put anything in plastic bags. The latest time for burning chametz is 11:40A.M.

Keter Torah Children’s Program 11:00AM – 1:00PM 600 Roemer Avenue

Children in Pre-K through fourth grade. Scavenger hunt, and crafts. Children will be painting pillow cases and Afikomen bags with permanent paint, must bring smock. $10 per child – space is limited – reservations required at [email protected]

Thursday, April 16th

The Jewish Community Council of Teaneck invites everyone to a Survivors and Survival, a special observance of Yom Hashoa, Holocaust Memorial Day, on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Teaneck High School. A pre-event reception honoring the survivors in our community will be held, marking the seventy-sixth anniversary of the start of the Shoah.
