After Successful Pilot, Doors Open For High School Kids at CTeen U

(Courtesy of Anshei Lubavitch) Chabad’s CTeen Network at Anshei Lubavitch in Fair Lawn will be offering a unique opportunity for Jewish high school students this spring: the chance to earn two private college credits while exploring the tenets of Judaism, no strings attached and no previous Judaic knowledge required.

In collaboration with Yeshiva University, CTeen International has carefully curated a course that will appeal to today’s Jewish high school students from any background. The lessons are relevant, engaging and even fun, with the aim of cultivating a strong sense of purpose and Jewish identity by exploring the tenets of Judaism. Nechama Stanislavsky, a junior at Ma’ayanot said, “I can’t believe how much I am learning each week.”

“We encourage our teens to ask questions and make their knowledge personal,” said Rabbi Eli Steinhauser, director of the Fair Lawn chapter of CTeen U at Anshei Lubavitch. “Our small class settings facilitate friendship and camaraderie which is so important for our teens today.” He added, “This really is an opportunity for them to advance their resume and college career while studying the Torah’s timeless wisdom.”

Elana Kerr, a junior at Fair Lawn High, shared, “This is an amazing opportunity because we get to learn about our heritage in a fun way and get two college credits while we’re at it.”
