Congregation Netivot Shalom to Hold ‘Chaiversary’ Featuring Soulfarm

Teaneck Synagogue to pay tribute to five past presidents; special award to Noah Rothblatt.

Congregation Netivot Shalom, a Modern Orthodox synagogue in Teaneck, will celebrate its 18th year with a gala chai-versary celebration” on March 12. The evening will feature music by the renowned American Jewish rock band Soulfarm.

The event will pay tribute to the synagogue’s five past presidents—Sam Heller, Marty Heistein, Barry Herzog, Pam Scheininger and David Montag—who all were instrumental in its growth and development, and a special award will be presented to Noah Rothblatt in recognition of his tireless commitment to the synagogue and its community.

“The chai-versary will be a fun celebration of Netivot Shalom, which began as a small house minyan, and now, 18 years later, is a vibrant synagogue of more than 100 member families that offers an inviting community for learning, praying, socializing and supporting its members through good times and bad,” said Gail Katz Dukas, dinner co-chair and past board member. “As a smaller, but growing, synagogue, Netivot Shalom is dependent on the dedication and talents of its members. Our past presidents and Noah Rothblatt exemplify the type of commitment that has enabled us to thrive. Our 18th year is a stepping stone to continued development. We are constantly introducing innovative and exciting programming and projects, and striving to help our members expand their spiritual horizons in a warm, engaging environment.”

The “Chai-versary Celebration” will take place on Saturday night, March 12, at 8:15 at the Fair Lawn Jewish Center. For more information, to purchase raffle tickets or to RSVP, please go to: www.netivotshalomnj.org.
