The GPS Review Committee evaluated the entire conversion system so it could make recommendations for what it called the “gold standard of services that are professional, respectful and spiritually engaging.” A survey was given to converts, those currently going through the conversion process and those who chose not to complete their conversion with the GPS Beis Din. A second survey was given to sponsoring rabbis. The rate of response for the conversion participations was 439 out of 835 potential respondents, or 52.6 percent, and 107 out of a possible 216 sponsoring rabbis, or 49.5 percent.
Some 78 percent of conversion participants in the RCA-Beit Din of America network are women. The highest number converting comes from the ages 20–29 demographic, which represents 45 percent of the survey sample.
