Cookie Dough for Parshat Behar

In this week’s parsha, Behar, Hashem gives Moshe the laws of shemitah, which gives the fields a chance to rest in the seventh year. Since we all give our ovens a break on the seventh day of the week, here’s a raw cookie dough recipe to enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Combine brown sugar and butter in a large bowl; beat with an electric mixer until creamy.

2. Beat in vanilla extract and salt.

3. Add flour; mix until a crumbly dough forms. Mix in milk. Fold in milk chocolate chips and mini chocolate chips.
