The Dor L’Dor group of Congregation Ahavath Torah, 240 Broad Avenue, Englewood, is sponsoring a Gala Chanukah program featuring a Lunch and Learn, followed by a concert performed by the Frisch School Choir at noon on Monday, December 16 at the synagogue. A delicious holiday buffet luncheon will be served at this popular annual event.
An inspiring talk on Chanukah will be presented by Rebbetzin Dr. Shoshana Poupko, who is a beloved teacher and counselor in the Englewood community and an invaluable spiritual resource to women and families. Dr. Poupko currently works as a therapist at Achieve Behavioral Health in Monsey. She has served as the dean of students at Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls, and prior to that she worked at the North Shore Hebrew Academy High School as chairperson of the Chumash department, director of Israel guidance, and the assistant principal of Judaic studies.
Following the lecture, the Frisch School Choir, led by Randi Wartelsky, will entertain with songs in honor of the Chanukah holiday. A Chanukah raffle will be part of the fun.
