Congregation Rinat Yisrael Adult Education Program is pleased to present Dr. Shana Posy on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, at 8:45 a.m. speaking on the topic “Overlooked No More: Ruth’s Long Shadow.” Ruth was a heroic convert who rose to become the mother of royalty, but she is surprisingly absent from the story of King David. Or is she? As we prepare for Shavuot, we will revisit some familiar and less familiar stories to see how Ruth shaped Israel’s king.

Shana Posy lives with her family in Highland Park, where she enjoys opportunities to learn and teach Torah. She studied at Michlalah and Stern and works as a computational chemist at Bristol Myers Squibb.
