Edison’s Congregation Ahavas Yisrael to Hold Annual Dinner

Congregation Ahavas Yisrael of Edison invites members of the community to join them for their annual dinner on Sunday, March 10, where they will honor Joseph Frisch and Barbara Unger Frisch and Ari & Leah Kotowitz. There will also be a special presentation to honor youth serving in Eretz Yisrael.

Joseph (Joey) and Barbara Ungar Frish have lived in the community for 35 years where they raised their family. Joey has served on the shul board for many terms, and as the past co-chair and chair of the AY Breakfast for five years. Barbara is an active sisterhood member and she now delivers a bi-monthly women’s shiur. Barbara is a practicing attorney for 35 years and has been in private practice for 24 years, with a solo run law firm in Edison focused on criminal defense, DWI and DUI defense, family law, guardianships and private litigation and landlord/tenant litigation. Joey works in a property management firm.

Ari and Leah Kotowitz have lived in the community for five years with sons Moshe and David, and newborn Yosef. Ari has been an active board member for most of that time. The Kotowitzs have been a driving force in growing the shul’s youth department and serving on several committees.

The shul dinner will be held at Torah Links of East Brunswick, 261 Dunhams Corner Rd, starting at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 10. Couvert is $375 per couple. For questions about the dinner or to submit an ad, please send an email to [email protected]
