(Andrew Friedman/TPS) Israel should capitalize on support from the administration of United States President Donald Trump in order to change political realities in Judea and Samaria and the Golan Heights, Public Security and Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan said.

“Everybody knows that the large settlement blocs—Gush Etzion, Ariel, Ma’aleh Adumim—will remain part of Israel forever,” Erdan told The Institute for National Security Studies’ (INSS) 11th annual international conference in Tel Aviv.

Erdan added a warning to whoever replaces the 82-year-old Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) as chairman of the Palestinian Authority to return to the negotiating table with Israel immediately or to risk “losing.”
