(Courtesy of United Hatzalah) Renowned Israeli singer and Eurovision contestant, Eden Golan, will receive the “Hero Award” at the United Hatzalah NYC Gala on June 4.. The event, which unites supporters of Israel in appreciation of United Hatzalah’s volunteers, will be emceed by actor and comedian Michael Rapaport.

“I am so humbled to be receiving the Hero Award from United Hatzalah. It was such an honor to represent Israel at Eurovision and show the world the strength of Israel and the Jewish people. I am excited to share in this important gathering with the brave and heroic volunteers of United Hatzalah,” said Golan.

In response to the terror attacks of October 7, United Hatzalah dispatched more than 1,500 volunteers to southern Israel, where they treated more than 4,000 victims and saved hundreds of lives, all while putting their own lives at risk. To honor these heroes, Golan will also offer a song of gratitude to the volunteers of United Hatzalah.

“Eden Golan stood proudly for Israel and the Jewish people, demonstrating tremendous bravery and strength while representing her nation at Eurovision. Her heroism inspires us all, and we are honored to recognize her fearlessness at our Gala. We’re further thrilled to be joined by Michael Rapaport, who has been a vocal and outspoken supporter of Israel during these very difficult times,” said Eli Beer, president and founder of United Hatzalah.

United Hatzalah of Israel is Israel’s largest, 100% free, all-volunteer emergency medical response service. Its 7,000 volunteers come from all backgrounds, including Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Druze, and respond to 2,000 calls per day from anyone in need of medical assistance in Israel, often within 90 seconds.

United Hatzalah’s Fifth Annual Gala will take place on Tuesday, June 4 at Cipriani Wall Street, 55 Wall Street, New York, NY. To learn more, please visit IsraelRescue.org.
