The excitement at the presentation and performance of the Fourth Grade State Fair was was palpable! Within the geography curriculum, the students spent the entire year learning about and researching the distinctive and diverse characteristics of the regions within the United States. While studying each region, they learned about the land features and how its location effects the climate, as well as historical events that occurred in each area. Each student randomly selected a state to explore and researched topics such as climate, Jewish population, attractions, history, natural resources, sports and recreation and important people from the state. Together with a small group of peers, the students worked in collaboration to design and present their state to their families and to the other students throughout Yeshivat Noam.
