Friendship Circle Sports League Kicks Off With a Bounce

(Courtesy of Valley Chabad) Valley Chabad’s Friendship Circle was excited to launch its 2019 fall season Sports League for children and teens with special needs on Sunday, October 6, with over 50 participants and volunteers.

The Sports League, now beginning it’s 12th year, offers a full range of mainstream activities such as soccer, T-ball and other recreational sports for children and teens with special needs. Under the Superdome Sports, children and teens will have an opportunity to practice the rules and techniques of sports, and have a chance to score on a team. The volunteer professional coaches, Lake and Bruce, guide the teen volunteers and their special friends to develop skills, confidence and engage in physical health and friendship. The children with special needs enjoy the thrill of being on a team in a safe and non-competitive atmosphere where they experience all aspects of team play from wearing a uniform to feeling the accomplishment of receiving a trophy all while having a whole lot of fun! All sessions are held at the Superdome Sports Waldwick and run on the following dates:

Sunday, October 6, 3:00-4:00 p.m.

Sunday, November 3, 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Sunday, November 10, 3:00-4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, November 19, 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, November 26, 6:00-7:00 p.m.
