Gigi & lo, a Teaneck clothing store for boys and girls from infancy to age 14, at 1445 Queen Anne Road, has been gearing up for Chanukah with fun, vibrant and affordable gifts.
“I try to find niche items that are unique and different that people will love,” said owner, Elisha Berkowitz. “I am careful about choosing each brand.”
Personalized gifts are popular all year for birthdays and are now in great demand for Chanukah. Gigi & lo has rows of solid color and striped T- shirts and pajamas, which can be personalized and coordinated for siblings or cousins. ‘Big sister’ and ‘Little bro’ combos are popular as well as individual names. Personalized denim jackets, with a variety of designs, are hugely popular baby gifts. Berkowitz said she has letters and patches in many styles, sizes, textures and colors “from varsity letters to glittery styles and everything in-between,” noted Berkowitz
“We are excited to start selling a super cool swimsuit line, good for resort wear or gifts, called Shade Critters,” Berkowitz said. “Each bathing suit is unique in its own way. Some have sequins that flip from one picture to another. Other have paillettes on skirts or sequin mermaid tails.” All the suits are made with UPF 50+ protection.
Kids who like to color will love the store’s design-your-own-pajama kits. They won’t believe they have permission to draw on their clothes. Patterns include mermaids, unicorns, dinosaurs, comic book characters and super hero capes—with markers included.
Gigi & lo also has a large selection of unique toys, jewelry and games. A portable table tennis set can be placed on any table. Give a music lover a unicorn xylophone.
