This event comes on the heels of the popular “Dating Discussion for the 20s,” held November 21 at Cong. Bnai Yeshurun. With Rabbi Yaakov Neuburger, Rabbi Dovid Bashevkin and Naomi Klinger on a panel, moderated by Naomi Landsman, over 100 young men and women were able to gain guidance on some current trends and topics affecting their dating lives. From texting etiquette to “dressing for success” on a date to key values for dating and marriage, everyone who attended came away with practical information. YUConnects, along with Cong. Bnai Yeshurun’s Project Meet Your Match and JLIConnections, worked with local couples to meet attendees throughout the night. The committee sponsored the cholent, kugel, sushi and even a large candy buffet station. As they schmoozed after the panel, most participants commented that they appreciated the program, and some requested more such events of natural and casual meeting opportunities.

YUConnects is a self-funded non-profit open to the entire Jewish community and currently celebrating its 381st engagement. In addition to its targeted matchmaking, the program runs unique social events and educational forums. Its office at Yeshiva University’s Center for the Jewish Future welcomes comments, visits and inquiries on any dating matter.
