Gan Aliya Learns About Life Cycle

The children were thrilled to welcome seven fertilized eggs into the classroom this week. They learned about the life cycle of a chicken, including the fact that:

A female chicken is called a hen.

A male chicken is called a rooster.

A baby chicken is called a chick.

They also discovered that hens lay eggs and that it takes 21 days for them to hatch. The students were fascinated watching the incubator rotate, and third-year students recorded their observations in their “Write and Draw” journals.

Everyone is excited to candle the eggs soon to track their development and, IY”H, witness the incredible moment when they hatch on Day 21!
