Genazym Auction: Where Gedolei Torah, Tzaddikim, Rebbes, Chachamim and Roshei Yeshivos Come Together

A: They all appear in the new, beautifully laid-out Genazym catalogue, featuring some 200 original and rare handwritten documents by the greatest Torah luminaries and tzaddikim from the past 450 years. Historians, collectors and Torah scholars will be thrilled to view these glimpses into the past, many of which were newly found and are on exhibit for the very first time.

  • A few examples of the newly discovered items on offer:
  • the handwritten chiddushim of the Chasam Sofer;
  • a pamphlet with all the regulations of a society established within Rav Akiva Eiger’s yeshivah in Posen;
  • a letter from the gaon and tzaddik Rav Eliyahu Gutmacher extolling the effectiveness of the kameiyos he distributed;
  • a small set of Shulchan Aruch belonging to the Chazon Ish with his handwritten annotations and chiddushim;
  • letters from Acharonim including the Ohr Somei’ach, the Chofetz Chaim, the Davar Avraham, Rav Elchonon Wasserman, Rav Boruch Ber Leibowitz, Rav Reuven Grodzenski and Rav Aharon Kotler;
  • and that is just a small sampling.

What’s more, Genazym also offers rare classic Jewish works, such as a full set of the first edition of the Zohar (printed in Mantua 1558), Rabenu Yerucham, Constantinople 1516, and an outstanding copy of the first-edition Pri Chadash. Judaica lovers will also find their heart’s desire with stunning, illuminated parchment manuscripts.
