GrowTorah Begins Season At Ben Porat Yosef

This past week in the BPY GrowTorah garden, weekly lessons started for the season. In this program, students work with Farmer Yosef of GrowTorah to tend the land and learn inspiring teachings relating to the weekly parsha and surrounding chagim. Students tasted tomatoes and chive blossoms, removed weeds from the pathways and harvested bundles of onion chives to give to the JCFS Corner Market Food Pantry for tzedaka. While they worked in the garden, students learned about the beets and squash, which prepared them for their in-class study of the simanim. BPY is so fortunate to bring this experiential learning to life as a perfect compliment to classroom learning.
