Hatzalah of MetroWest to Host Family Fun Day at Lifetown

(Courtesy of Hatzalah of Metrowest) Hatzalah of Metrowest is thrilled to announce its second annual Family Fun Day. The event will take place 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Lifetown in Livingston on Monday, September 4.

Last year’s inaugural event saw more than 1,000 attendees as Hatzalah celebrated its first anniversary and expressed its hakarat hatov to the community for its sustained support. The event committee has been hard at work, conceiving a program that will “one up” last year’s experience and deliver fun and engaging activities for all ages.

Hatzalah of Metrowest ambulances and first-response vehicles will be on hand for show-and-share, tours and educational sessions. Hatzalah has also partnered with the Livingston Fire Department and Livingston Police Department to bring a fire engine and police car on site!

In addition to the deluxe bounce castle and double slides, this year’s event will feature a 40-foot-long obstacle course, inflatable axe throwing and basketball and a 25-foot-high rock wall that can accommodate five simultaneous climbers. The fan favorite dunk tank is returning as well.

Multiple face painters will be available to create your children’s favorite art along with Hatzalah ambulance coloring stations for self-directed play.

Plenty of free giveaways—no spoilers!—will be on hand for each family along with cotton candy and other tasty treats.

With thanks to Moshava Ba’ir Metrowest, a limited quantity of special Hatzalah first aid kits were assembled during the camp’s Chesed Week. These make great additions to your home, car and dorm room. They can be purchased at the event or online (while supplies last) at www.hatzalahmetrowest.org/fak and picked up at Family Fun Day, or delivered to Livingston, Springfield or West Orange at no additional cost.

Gift of Life will be on site, swabbing adults 18 and older for their life-saving registry. Hatzalah encourages everyone who is eligible to get swabbed—you may have the opportunity to save a life through a stem cell or bone marrow donation.

The cost to attend this year’s event is $36/family, payable at the door, and a BBQ dinner will be provided by Holy Schnitzel at a significant discount.
