Last week, Rabbi Markowitz’s 11th grade hilchos kashrus class had the privilege of meeting Rabbi Nesanel Snow, a kashrus administrator for the RCBC. Rabbi Snow showed the class different methods of how to check greens and strawberries and explained some of the halachos surrounding this concept. The girls then had a chance to check different kinds of greens under a lightbox to see if they could find bugs. Afterward, they asked Rabbi Snow questions regarding kashrus on topics ranging from fresh broccoli to how restaurants check their vegetables. It was a great hands-on application of practical Halacha.
