I get home from school and sometimes don’t have much homework. This sounds good, but the problem is then I get bored and don’t know what to do with myself. When I watch TV my mom gets mad and I feel guilty and don’t want to fight.
What should I do?

Dear Too Much TV Tani,
I understand that you get bored really easily. You should probably go to the library more often. Hang out with friends or siblings. Go for walks/bike rides. Play board games. After school, even if some nights you don’t get homework, you will probably have tests. You manage to go without TV on Shabbat. But if you can’t handle a relaxed evening, you can email your teacher. I’m sure she can find some more homework to keep you busy.
